Perfect Pennants and Banners Framelits Dies (Part 2)

As promised, here is part 2 of my post on Perfect Pennants and Banners Framelits Dies.

If you missed Part 1, click HERE to view it.

Today's card is a clean and simple one (it's OK to make those once in a while, isn't it?)

I decided to go with the star stamp, and the two border-type stamps from the Perfect Pennants set. I stamped these in Coastal Cabana, and Melon Mambo ink pads. These two colours are bright and cheerful, and go so well together, don't you think?

The other two stars were die-cut using the star die from the Circle Card Thinlits Die.

All these stars required a wish - wishing upon a star, and all that? Hence the "Make a Wish" saying stamperd on the banner, which I die cut using the Banners Framelits Dies - no fussy cutting here!

I embossed both the coloured banner and the smaller stars with Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which is on offer this week!

The Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine (tied into a bow) added a bit more texture and movement, and I was happy with the end result.

What do you think?

If you'd like to recreate this card, or make your own using the supplies I mentioned, feel free to contact me, and I'd be more than happy to assist you with your order.

Thanks for reading.

Until next time... happy crafting! x

Monday

Perfect Pennants and Banners Framelits (Part 1)

I had a play yesterday with the Perfect Pennants stamp set and matching Banners Framelits Die, and here are the cards I made.

I really like the sayings in this set:

Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful (how true is that!)

Sending Good Thoughts Your Way (great for those 'Get Well' cards)

and... Make a Wish (why not?)

There are other sayings in the set, as well as a star, a heart, and some border stamps (10 stamps in all). Great for creating that 'just because' project or card for a friend or loved one!

Die-cutting the banners was a breeze! The Big Shot did the work,  not me with my scissors! You can make banners or pennants in seconds with these framelits without tediously cutting them by hand. These dies have an open design, so you can put them where you want on a stamped image or photo for perfect placement. You get 6 dies in the pack, and the largest is 2-3/4" by 4-7/8".

And did you notice the Lovely Lace textured impressions embossing folder in the background? As the name suggests, it is LOVELY!

I plan on making more cards tomorrow using the other stamps from the Perfect Pennants set, so until then, happy crafting!

Products used: Perfect Pennants stamp set, Banners Framelits Die, Silver Glimmer Paper, Dazzling Details Glitter Glue , Bitty Butterfly Punch, Circle Card Thinlits Die, Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Rich Razzleberry Grossgrain Stitched Ribbon (retired), Scallop Trim Border Punch (retired), cardstock (from my stash).

Nature's Peace from Stampin'Up!

Recently my upline, Fanny Stafford of Stamping Every Day, lent me a lovely stamp set called Nature's Peace.

I made these three cards with it:

one in blue, embossed in Blue Glass embossing powder (from my stash),

one in purple, embossed in Cranberry,

and one in red and green, embossed in Silver.

Of course, no Christmas project is complete without some bling, and the beautiful Silver Glimmer Paper  finished off each card. This is such a good quality, cover-weight paper, that its glitter won't brush off.

The stars were die-cut using the Circle Card Thinlits Die (which is great not just for creating cards that flip in just one step, but also contains among other shapes, this cute little star).

While using this stamp set, I was reminded that in the hustle and bustle of the coming Christmas season, we sometimes forget that the holidays are supposed to be peaceful.

Let there be peace on earth, this season and always!
